The main purpose of this PD activity was to ascertain various ways to manage library budget and also advocate for an improvement within the school library budget.

Speakers also demonstrated the importance of library coalition mentioning various school libraries who are subscribing electronic databases at cheaper subscription fee and introduced document delivery to save on their library budget.

The keynote speaker Sue McKerracher discussed about the benefits of advocacy and how to plan an advocacy campaign to promote a library service or program.

In two separate workshop the attendees explored various practical ways to deal with the library budget in different library setting.
